World of Warcraft Garrosh Hellscream

September 3rd, 2007 by admin

Garrosh is the son of Grom Hellscream, and of the Mag’har, or “brown orcs” – the last uncorrupted orcish clan. Garrosh grew up knowing that his father had been responsible for the Red Pox, the corruption that created the orcs and enslaved the to the powerful Burning . As a result, Garrosh has gone into a brooding depression and believes that his race – most especially his line – is cursed. As a result, he does not act decisively as he should against the forces who seek to destroy his people – the Burning , the Illidari, and the of Nagrand. His spirits are revitalized upon a visit from Thrall, the Warchief of the and Grom’s best friend, who reveals that Grom died a hero against the evil Mannoroth.

It was announced at BlizzCon 2007 that Garrosh – now much more aggressive, but a little too much for Thrall’s …much like Grom himself – will lead the Horde expedition to the Borean in western Northrend, and will set up the of Hold. His forces – and thus the Horde – have allied themselves with the shamanistic tuskarr native to the area, and aid them in battle against the invaders.
