The male Dwarf dance is based on a Russian folk dance, while the female’s dance is based on traditional Irish dancing similar to the Riverdance.
The dwarves speak with a brogue similar to Scottish English.
Dwarves are shown inhabiting underground caves and warrens which resemble houses but are built either into the mountainside or in the hills in their regions.
The Wildhammer Dwarves are largely absent from World of Warcraft as a playable race. However, the Wildhammer clan has a stronghold in the Hinterlands zone full of Wildhammer NPC’s. Wildhammer Gryphons are also available to all Alliance characters as a mode of transportation between settlements.
The rams mentioned above serve as the racial mount for Dwarves, though other Alliance races can purchase them if they reach an “exalted” reputation level with Ironforge.
The Dwarven special ability is Stoneform, which grants the player additional armor as well as removing bleed, poison, and disease effects currently on the player and making them immune to such effects for the duration of the spell
According to a survey made by the Warcraft Census at 08-15-07, Dwarves are currently the least popular race in the Alliance with Gnomes being only slightly more popular.
