Son of King Terenas Menethil, former Prince and Paladin of the Kingdom of Lordaeron; in the kingdom of Northrend he took up the Runeblade Frostmourne, becoming a Death Knight. Now fused with Ner’zhul the Lich King, he has become one of the most powerful beings the universe has ever seen. King of the Scourge, and technically still King of Lordaeron, although that Kingdom is now defunct and its surviving subjects would likely not acknowledge Arthas as their King in any event.
