Blackhand the Destroyer was leader of the Blackrock clan, father of Rend, Maim and Griselda. Originally a Raider of the Sythegore Arm and Chieftain of the Blackrock Clan, Gul’dan made him Warchief of the Horde. While Chieftain, he was merely a puppet for Gul’dan and the Shadow Council. His base of operations was the Fortress at Blackrock Spire, featured in the Warcraft I scenarios (during the timeframe known as the First War).

He was overthrown and killed by Orgrim Doomhammer when Doomhammer discovered he was being used by Gul’dan.
