BlizzCon is a semi-regular convention held by Blizzard Entertainment to celebrate their major franchises Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo. Some features of BlizzCon included the release of new World of Warcraft content, previews of content for the World of Warcraft expansions, and Blizzard developer Q&A sessions. Several contests are held including a songwriting and costume contests. On closing night, a concert is held featuring a comedian and Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain, a thrash metal band whose members consist of Blizzard employees.[1] In addition, attendees receive several gifts such as an in-game Murloc Costume & code to sign up for expansion beta testing.
