World of Warcraft Drek’Thar
September 3rd, 2007 by admin
The Elder Shaman Drek’Thar is the chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan. In the years following the Second War, Drek’Thar taught Thrall about his roots. While the majority of Orcs had become lethargic and were forced into internment camps, Drek’Thar preserved the Frostwolf clan in isolation. Upon Thrall’s arrival, Drek’Thar was able to impart the ancient wisdom of the shaman, concerning their mutualistic relationship with the elements of the natural world. After helping to found the nation of Durotar, the elder shaman returned to the Frostwolf tribe in Alterac Valley to lead them against the encroaching Stormpike Dwarves who began transgressive excavations in the area. He must be defeated by Alliance players to win the Battleground Alterac Valley. Prior to the release of the expansion The Burning Crusade, DrekāThar had more kills of players than any other NPC in the game.
As part of a scripted event, Drek’Thar accompanies Thrall to the plains of Nagrand in Outland, where they encounter the only clan of uncorrupted orcs in either Draenor or Azeroth – the Mag’har.
