World of Warcraft Horde Thunder Bluff

Thunder Bluff is the capital city of the Tauren race, located in Mulgore on the continent of Kalimdor. The city is an architectural interest, build on four mesas, called Rises, each connected via bridges. This layout lends a secure location from raiding enemies, as there are only two access two access points, one being the normal flight system, which only Horde players can access. For Alliance players seeking to attack the city, or for players who have not yet discovered the flight path, the only other ingress point is a pair of elevators from the flatland areas up to the city. The height of the city and the interconnecting rope bridges are sometimes a cause of dismay for new players, or for players who aren’t paying attention to their moves, as they suddenly find themselves falling to their deaths below. The Tauren racial mount is the Kodo.
The Darkmoon Faire also makes an appearance outside the city on a regular basis. All players of either faction are welcome at the fair, since it is not within normal aggro distance of guards, so it is not uncommon to see Alliance players in the zone when the fair is in town.
Related to the Darkmoon Faire the notorious cannon of death, worthy of mention since many players have been caught unaware of the sinister purpose of this cannon. Accessible only when the Darkmoon Faire is in town, and accessible only by the Horde since it is located within Thunder Bluff itself, the cannon shoots players across the entire zone, with the goal to safely land in a small marked circle in a lake. If the players miss the mark, they will simply die. It is not uncommon to see the bones and bodies of players scattered around the area, in a macabre ritual of death.
